To Love, Learn and Respect

Yr 6 Grad 31
Whole School 51

Welcome to St Patrick's Primary School.

St. Patrick's Primary School, Pyramid Hill stands on the traditional land of the Barapa Barapa People who have inhabited this country for many thousands of years. Our school was founded by a group of dedicated parents and the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1956. These Sister were brave and courageous women that followed in the footsteps of Mary MacKillop, Australia's first canonised Saint. Mary MacKillop dreamed of providing education to isolated and small communities that in many instances did not have the financial ability to provide education for their children. St. Patrick's School followed in this tradition in 1956.

St. Patrick's Primary School is committed to child safety. We believe all children have the right to feel safe and to be safe.

Identity Statement

St Patrick's is a welcoming community where all are encouraged to, 'Love Learn and Respect' in the Josephite Tradition.

Together with our the values and beliefs of our Identity and Vision Statement, St. Patrick's Primary School embraces all that is needed to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.

St Patrick’s is a Catholic Parish Primary School serving the Catholic families of Pyramid Hill and surrounding communities. St Patrick’s is an intimate Primary School which prides itself on our ability to personalise learning. By working collaboratively, staff, parents and Fr. Novelito aim to foster the Learner's knowledge, skills, attitudes and awareness of the Catholic Faith and traditions. St. Patrick's aims to reinforce and further develop the formation of faith and spirituality begun at home.

In keeping with this ideal, all members of the staff are to share the responsibility of maintaining and developing positive attitudes towards the needs, feelings and talents of the Learner, their parents, other staff members and the community. St Patrick’s believes that ones Pastoral Wellbeing is paramount to success at school. Due to our small class sizes and shared practice we are able to share expertise and resources so that our Learners needs are being met. Teacher - Learner relationships are a priority at St Patrick's and is integral to providing the best educational opportunities for those in our care. Our Pastoral Wellbeing in conjunction with our Student Management Policy promote positive self awareness of all in our community.

Our classrooms are large and attractive, both heated and cooled in relative seasons. Our grounds are pristine with large playing areas, with a variety of equipment for Learner choice. Our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden (SAKG) is an invaluable resource and engages all Learners enthusiastically. Our grounds are inclusive of all interests and imagination and provide space for our Learners to grow and enjoy themselves. Our Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA) ensures variety of choice and shaded play areas.

Our school actively encourages engagement with the parents and the wider community. We strongly believe that working in partnership is crucial to building positive learning relationships for our Learners within the community.

The staff of St Patrick’s are enthusiastic and dedicated and recognise that every Learner learns differently. The staff of St Patrick’s are committed to the education of the Learner and seek to maximise the potential of all Learners who attend.
